A Clear Layer Between Your Paint and the Road
Paint protection film is a clear, durable layer applied directly over your vehicle's factory paint to absorb the impact of rock chips, road debris, and everyday wear before it ever reaches the clear coat. At Tint Garage, our certified technicians handle every application with a focus on clean edges and a nearly invisible finish, so the film does its job without changing the look of your vehicle. We offer coverage ranging from targeted front-end protection up to fully custom, panel-by-panel selections, so you can choose the level of coverage that fits your vehicle and your budget.

Why Paint Protection Film Matters
Real Impact Resistance
Unlike a coating that sits at the surface level, film adds a physical barrier that absorbs the force of rock chips and road debris before it reaches your paint.
Protects Long-Term Resale Value
Keeping your factory paint free of chips and scuffs helps your vehicle hold its appearance and its value over the years you own it.
Coverage That Fits Your Budget
With three package levels and a fully custom A La Carte option, you can scale coverage up or down to match exactly what your vehicle and budget call for.
Serving Pearl City and the Surrounding Communities
Our certified technicians have worked on everything from daily commuters to dealership inventory across Oahu, giving Pearl City drivers a shop with the experience to handle a single bumper or a full A La Carte build. Every installation reflects the same standard, backed by our PPF certification through Llumar.
How Paint Protection Film Works
A Urethane Film, Not Just a Coating
Paint protection film is a thin, optically clear urethane film, which sets it apart from a chemical coating like ceramic. Rather than adding a microscopically thin chemical layer to the surface of your paint, film adds an actual physical layer of material on top of it. That extra thickness is what allows the film to do a job a coating cannot: absorbing real physical impact instead of just adding gloss and slickness.
Absorbing Impact Before It Reaches Your Paint
When a rock chip or piece of road debris strikes your vehicle, the film's flexible material spreads out and absorbs much of that force before it can reach your clear coat and paint underneath. Over thousands of miles of driving, this is what keeps the front-end panels of a protected vehicle looking noticeably cleaner than an unprotected one.
Cut and Wrapped to Match Your Vehicle
Each panel is measured individually and the film is precision-cut to match your vehicle's specific body lines. During application, our technicians use heat to help the film conform smoothly around curves, edges, and contours, wrapping it wherever possible to keep visible seams to a minimum.
Bonded With a Pressure-Activated Adhesive
The underside of the film carries a pressure-activated adhesive that bonds to your paint as it is applied and continues to set over the following days. Once fully cured, that bond is what allows the film to stay put through years of washing, weather, and everyday driving without lifting at the edges.
Paint Protection Film FAQ
What is the difference between the Partial Front and Full Front packages?
Partial Front covers the front bumper along with partial hood and fender coverage, while Full Front extends that coverage to the entire hood, both mirrors, and the full fenders for more complete front-end coverage.
Can I choose specific panels through the A La Carte option?
A La Carte pricing starts at $250 and allows you to select individual panels, from a single bumper or set of mirrors up to a custom combination that fits your vehicle and budget.
Will the film change how my paint looks?
Our clear film is designed to be nearly invisible once installed, preserving the factory look of your paint while adding a layer of defense underneath.
How long does a paint protection film installation take?
Turnaround varies based on your vehicle and the package selected. We will give you an accurate timeline during your consultation.
Do I need to do anything special to care for the film after installation?
Standard washing is fine once the film has fully cured. We will walk you through basic aftercare so the film keeps its clarity and adhesion for years to come.
